Pilot Responsibilities

As a pilot on SkyFuns, you are responsible for the safety of your passengers and for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. This code of conduct outlines our expectations for all pilots on our platform.

Safety First

  • Always prioritize safety over convenience or schedule.
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight checks and weather assessments.
  • Never fly if you are fatigued, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or otherwise impaired.
  • Maintain your aircraft according to manufacturer recommendations and regulatory requirements.
  • Always have a backup plan and be prepared to cancel or divert if conditions change.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure you have a valid pilot's license, medical certificate, and appropriate ratings.
  • Comply with all EASA regulations, including those specific to cost-sharing flights.
  • Maintain accurate flight logs and documentation.
  • Ensure your aircraft has all required certifications and inspections.
  • Calculate cost-sharing amounts correctly and transparently.

Passenger Experience

  • Communicate clearly with passengers before, during, and after the flight.
  • Provide a thorough safety briefing before takeoff.
  • Be punctual and professional.
  • Ensure the aircraft is clean and well-maintained.
  • Be respectful and considerate of passengers' comfort and concerns.
  • Share interesting information about the route and sights during the flight.

Prohibited Behaviors

  • Never operate flights for profit or as a commercial service.
  • Do not fly beyond your capabilities or in conditions that exceed your training.
  • Do not pressure passengers to fly in marginal conditions.
  • Do not misrepresent your qualifications or experience.
  • Do not engage in discriminatory behavior or harassment of any kind.
