SkyFuns Terms of Service
Effective date: 01 January 2026 — These terms describe how passengers and private pilots use SkyFuns to plan and share cost-compliant flights across Europe.
About SkyFuns
SkyFuns is a digital platform that connects private pilots and passengers for non-commercial, cost-shared flights under applicable EASA regulations. We do not operate aircraft, employ pilots, or provide transportation services. Each flight is organised and executed solely by the participating pilot and passengers.
Eligibility & accounts
By using SkyFuns you confirm that:
- You have the legal capacity to enter binding agreements.
- The information you provide to SkyFuns is accurate,legal,valid,genuine and kept up to date.
- You will use the platform in full compliance with applicable local aviation regulations and these Terms of Use.
Pilot responsibilities
Pilots listing seats on SkyFuns agree to:
- Hold a valid license (PPL or higher) and the required medical certificates.
- Comply with the conditions of carriage for passengers, including completing at least three take-offs and three landings within the 90 days preceding the flight.
- Comply with cost-sharing rules (direct costs divided among all occupants including the pilot) - EASA AIR OPS Regulation (EU) No 965/2012.
- When operating as PIC, remain responsible for flight planning, weather briefings, aircraft documents and airworthiness and passenger safety at all times.
- Ensure their aircraft meets all applicable registration and regulatory requirements set by local, national, and international aviation authorities.
- Share accurate route details, costs, and limitations before confirming any seat.
Passenger responsibilities
Passengers agree to:
- Respect pilot limitations, safety briefings, and aviation etiquette.
- Complete payments within the time frame shown in SkyFuns.
- Arrive at the agreed meeting point ahead of departure with necessary identification.
- Use the in-app chat to clarify expectations and disclose relevant health or baggage considerations.
Platform limitations
SkyFuns does not assume liability for any flight, delay, incident or accident. Flights are personal arrangements between pilots and passengers. By using the platform you acknowledge that all aviation risks remain with the individuals onboard.
SkyFuns reserves the right to suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms or applicable regulations without any prior notice.
Updates
We may update these Terms of Service to reflect regulatory or operational changes. When updates are made we will post the revised version and update the effective date at the top of this page.
